What is TPS- MENTORING ?

As most of you know, TPS stands for Toyota Production System. A system, that is worldwide considered as the best production system currently known. The TPS was developed by Toyota over the last 50+ years and is still not finished yet. This is simply because it is under continual development. The Kaizen process.

But what does MENTORING mean ?

Over the last 12 years, we have observed very often, that there are a lot of people, who are well trained in the TPS- toolset and are very experinced in some specific TPS- tools. However, we have also seen in many cases, that these "Lean- Experts" are not doing a great job in teaching and developing people. They either provide potential solutions too early or even impose their thinking in certain situations on the people they want to train. Therefore MENTORING for us means, that we are creating an atmosphere, where your people will effectively learn through active problem solving and meet the necessary objectives, that will help the organization to continually reach better levels of performance.

TPS- MENTORING is combining the teaching/ training of TPS/ TW principles with an effective personal development process. As this  won´t work in classrooms, this activity has to be done in your company, where the real problems are and where the true learning will take place.
