Do NOT copy Toyota, understand Toyota !
In his famous book "the TOYOTA Way" Jeffrey K. Liker has worked out the 14 TOYOTA Way Management principles (TWMPs) and structured them in what he called the TOYOTA 4P-Modell.
The 14 TWMPs do also represent our main "THINKING CORRIDOR". Our objective is to find your individual solutions by using the Toyota Way thniking. It is NOT to copy Toyota !
We have added one further principle and therefore differ a little bit from the original 14 TWMPs. So, here are the 15 TWMPs:
1). Base management decisions on a long-term philosophy, even at the expense of short term financial goals.
2). Create basic stability ! (This ist the one we have added)
3). Create process flow to surface problems.
4). Use pull systems to avoid overproduction.
5). Level out the workload.
6). Stop when there is a quality problem.
7). Standardize tasks for continuous improvement.
8). Use visual controls so no problems are hidden.
9). Use only reliable, thoroughly tested technology.
10). Grow leaders who live and can teach the philosophy and who have a deep understanding of the job environment they are acting in.
11). Respect, develop and challenge your people and teams.
12). Respect, challenge and help your suppliers.
13). Make decisions slowly by consensus, thoroughly considering all options; implement rapidly.
14). Go see yourself to thoroughly understand the situation.
15). Continual organizational learning through Kaizen. |
